The Work Itself

As the Vice President of Marketing at Catalyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy to drive business objectives and elevate our brand presence in the marketplace. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing leader to lead a talented team, leverage the latest digital marketing techniques, and make a significant impact on our company’s growth.

The primary focus of this role will be to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives leveraging a deep understanding of B2B marketing best practices. This includes providing digital marketing leadership by overseeing the implementation of SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and other channels to optimize lead generation, customer acquisition, and engagement.

The person in this role will be a champion for brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints including digital, press, trade shows, and other opportunities. This role is also responsible for oversight of all non-marketing member communications including bulletins, newsletters, and organization-wide publications.

As the primary touchpoint for public relations, the VP of Marketing is responsible for planning, coordinating, and producing Catalyst’s public events, maintaining media relationships, and promoting speaking opportunities.

The person in this role must have a strong background in performance analysis and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of the overall marketing strategy and make adjustments as necessary using KPIs and performance metrics.

The Talent You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, general business, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in marketing for an organization with at least a regional reach
• Minimum of five years working in a business-to-business environment.
• Minimum of five years experience with digital marketing tools and SEO.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, including writing, editing and presentation capabilities for marketing, public relations, and communication purposes.
• Must be attuned to media and advertising and develop and maintain relationship with professionals in those fields.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective marketing strategies.
• Must understand market research processes
• The ability to work with peers, a senior management team and others to determine and achieve organizational goals.
• Experience managing staff and organization-wide projects.
• Must possess a good working knowledge of Salesforce and its B2B marketing analytics platform.
• An understanding of UI/UX and other aspects of digital presentations

• More than five years of experience in marketing for an organization with a national reach.
• Graphic sensibilities.
• Minimum of ten years supervisory experience.
